What Are You Focusing On???

Being Successful or Struggle

Happy Sad.jpg

As I study successful people I realize more and more that they focus in on their goals and not their problems. They spend 5% of their energy acknowledging the issue/challenge and they spend 95% of their energy on how to fix it. People that struggle spend 95% of their energy thinking about the issue and 5% of their energy trying to fix it.

“Victims focus on their circumstances while Achievers focus on their goals”.

So John, What Do I Do???

  • Take a clean sheet of paper and draw a line in the middle of the page from top to bottom.

  • Write three of your major goals on the left side of the paper.

  • Write down all the reasons why you are not reaching your goals on the right side of the paper (I bet you have more writing on the REASONS side than the gold side).

  • Now rip the page in half.

  • Take the reasons side and crumble the paper up because the reasons why you are not achieving your goals are garbage.

  • Now keep that crumbled paper and leave it on your desk, cork board etc. Let it remind you to not focus on the reasons but focus on your GOALS…

It time to take charge of your own destiny……
